Hello Fellow CRHers,

I've got the rest of this week and next week off from work for the holiday and vacation so I decided I would make the most of my free time by opening up lots of boxes!!! :thumbsup:

That said, I usually order 7 boxes a week but I asked one of my supply banks to order me 10 boxes this week and another 10 boxes next week instead of the usual 2 boxes per week. That'll be 30 boxes to open between today and next Friday! I am totally excited and hope Santa rewards me well when it comes to the silver! Let's see if my Spectacular Silver Search Strategy pays off! :tongue3:

The hassle will be dumping a large volume in a short time.

One skunk out of three ain't too bad in my opinion. Good luck with the rest of your search, can't wait to see your results.

Like you, I've got more time off from work over the next two weeks, so can't wait to get back into it. Ten boxes ordered, but probably won't be in until next week

12/23 - Update #2:

I just dumped some halves and was on my way to get my 10 boxes but I stopped at a small branch to ask for halves (couldn't resist). The only teller there had 2 clad halves but I noticed 2 silver quarters in her tray. She said she had been saving them for a while but I could have them! Merry Christmas to me! :tongue3:

A 1964 and 1964D both in very good condition! My first silver quarters in the wild and I wasn't even searching for them!!! :laughing7:

Going to pick up my 10 boxes of halves soon, update #3 will be posted later today!!!

Results for that batch of 10 boxes was [20] 40%ers. That averages 2 per box and my average was just under 3 per box so these were not the results I was expecting but I have 2 more boxes to open tomorrow and 15 boxes next week!

Do you re-roll the coins using the same wrapper? If not, just use a box cutter. If yes, I use a staple-remover to hook one end and lightly pull open. Rotate the roll in one hand and try to hook the folded position with the staple-remover and pull away. After some practice, you can open very fast and not break the paper.

Those two boxes rounded out my 15 box week for a total of [31] 40%ers and [zero] 90%ers. That averages just over 2 silvers per box and well below my average of 2.9 so these were not the results I was expecting but I do have 15 more boxes to open up next week! :thumbsup:
