I'm a new member here, just want to say hello to everyone
Hello everyone. I've been collecting coins a little for decades, nothing serious though. Part-time hobbies used to include metal detecting, rockhounding, native gemstones, and gold panning. I live fairly near to a couple of national forests that abound in spots to search for minerals. One is rich in native gemstones such as ruby, sapphire, and garnet. The other has several nice spots to pan for gold. Myself and my wife used to go often. She really loved the easy pickings of gemstones just laying on the ground, and I loved to sit in the creek and pan gold. Unfortunately, I stopped going to those places after my wife passed. Recently I have become interested in coin roll hunting in a big way, so I'm back into coin collecting again. Searching Google on the subject brought me to this site, where I lurked for a few days before deciding to join. This looks like a great community!
