I'm back in the game, IHP and wheats at local park for 30 minute hunt.
I've been very busy cleaning up after the barn fire we had about a month ago and between clearing the site and dealing with insurance people, I have not been able to MD. I got out of work a few minutes early and pass the park as I do every day. Since there was some daylight left and I always keep my MD in my truck, I swung back around to the park. Park is notoriously known for trash so I figured that I would only dig the deeper signals. First deep signal rang up as brass/copper at 8 inches. I figured it would be maybe an older wheat but to my surprise, out comes a 1889 IHP-YES! I had the fever again, and was so happy that after a month of not being able to MD that I was able to find such a prize. Although I only had about a half hour, I found two wheats, 46, 52, a costume jewelry ring that at first I thought might be silver, an older key and of course some clad and older pop/beer caps. For a quick hunt, I was very happy and now with the warm weekend I definately want to get out again. Sorry about the pics they were taken with cell phone and doesn't take good close up pictures.
