I'm diggin this Saturday...somewhere. What say you?

I just gotta get out and find at least one old coin to get my fix. The snow should hopefully be gone by Saturday. I am gonna ask at an old home site after work tomorrow. If they are not home or I get a no I'll hit a park or something Saturday. Jim in Jackson County

Good luck if you do get out Saturday, Jim. I got out a little tonite (wet/snowing) and the ground is spongy. Found about 20 clad in an hour. I'm still learning to tweak the dfx, and today I received a new 5.3" coil and Lesch digger in the mail. I'm going to try the smaller coil in the park to pick thru the trash.

im going back out this weekend as well.. i have been getting a little sandy and muddy but its worth the excersise

My new ACE 250 is on a big brown truck somewhere between Kellyco and me here in West Michigan. Probably wont hunt this weekend but next week look out here I go

IM heading to a state park genearl squire park in metamora. i printed a map where its leagal to hunt pretty much the whole area except the old house. anyone in that area would like to meet up let me know..

I recieved permission at the old house site. YES! I detected it a few years back with a friend but its a big place, big yard. Hoping to find a few we missed. Its an 1840s cool old stone house. Bought as old as they get in my neck of Michigan. Can't wait til tomorrow. I'll give a report tomorrow. Hope I'll be posting at least one old coin. If not oh well, I love the chance to be at a place that could produce old stuff. We shall see. You guys that have been diggin, is the ground totally unfrozen and diggable? Jim

Southern Mich is diggable! I was out yesterday eve and this afternoon..just make sure you have a good digging tool, as i've bent two of them in the past 2 weeks.
The best places to dig are where the snow has melted (duh).

Well, I'm hooked on this hobby, to say the least. My wife is terrified that I won't get anything done around home...I know what i'm doing over my vacation in 2 weeks...
