I'm just curious how many one dollar coins have people found?

I just took note that I have found 10 $1 coins in the 3 years I've been detecting. 1 John Adams, 1 James Madison, 1 Andrew Johnson, 1 Susan B. Anthony, 2 Sacajawea, 2 James Garfield and 1 1971 Eisenhower.

I find about 10-15 a year. Nothing as fancy as BIGWAVEDAVE.

If you count the suzan b's and saq's, dozens.
I once found about 30 in 1 outing at the beach, must have been a seeded treasure hunt gone awry.

If silver, just 2.

Countless modern ones (Ike's, Susan B's, Sac's, presidential, Euro's, etc.) and 3 silver Morgans dollars. I haven't hit a gold one yet.

I just started detecting maybe a year ago almost only on the beach no US dollar coins for me but i did find a modern $2 canadian coin.

A few dozen of the newer clad coins. Never a silver dollar yet.

At our post office one can put a bill, like a $10, into the stamp machine, then hit refund or return and10 new one dollar coins will be returned. I've found most of them at the nearest park a few blocks from there.

You guys are all doing great. I have never found a silver dollar. I find the occasional suzie once in a while though.

Hunted well over 30 years and found my very first one ever in Italy of all places, only about 40 yards down the beach during a very rare low tide last year on a sand bar. Never found one State side, find lots of US coins in Germany, but this was the first US coin I ever found in Italy and it was a dollar at that.

I have found 6 or 7 .. none Silver.. most on Middle School grounds.. 6 graders must still carry coins!
