In Lower ny looking for some public spots to start panning

Hey all Im in westchester county ny and looking from some decent public places i can go to pan for some gold I am willing to travel 4 to 5 hours if i got to but if anyone can provide some info I would very much appreciate it or if you can post a link of any other threads already discussing it .... thank you in advance for any info

Ok Maybe i should be a little more specific Im not really looking for inside ny panning but close by Im looking for any spots anyone might know in ct mostly but also pa,mass, and nh I have a couple of places I have found still doing alot of research but any extra help i can get would be appreciated2 locations im looking into is leadmine brook and farmington river if anyone has any experience there please share
