Out to a couple spots today. Left the Ace home today and took the DFX. Got home and cleaned up had eight pieces of lead total. I think that is a new record on civil war bullets in one day for me ;D. Also found in this same area a what is it, lets hear some ideas. Looks to be brass the picture of the back shows what has to be silver as it came out of the ground very clean and shinny. I have no clue as to what it would be. Fun afternoon of detecting hope to be back to this spot soon. Their is also a piece of a cartridge that came out of the ground with the bullet to the right of it.

I have some silver spurs my uncle made years ago. Check out the design where he put the strap attachment. He used buffalo nickels. It looks like yours is curved the wrong way. Just a thought.
