hello,i found this token with my atp on thanksgiving at my brothers house.his property dates to the 1840's,and I found this about 3 inches down.looks to be copper.any info greatly appreciated.i did a rubbing so the details would show better.

This is a type of generic trade token found all over the country. I theorize that a merchant could order these considerably cheaper than having ones made up that carried his name.

Dag - no, I think it is from the 1920s, but that might be give or take 15 years.
