indian artifact?

it's a fishing net weight. They were attached to the bottoms of the nets , and floats were attached to the tops to keep them vertical.

I've hunted artifacts for years and have seen lots of net weights...IMO this isn't one. I think it's far too small and the hole doesn't appear to be drilled... some stones have or develop holes naturally through a number of different processes. Most net weights will be more than double this size and will have grooves around them rather than being drilled through.. All that being said it is still possible. If you could brush it off with some water and an old tooth brush to see the hole a little better in might help. Cool little thing either way.
