Indian burial site and ethics?

I know where there an old site that has historical significance. Old indian cemetary. A lot of trading was done. I suppose I would stay clear of burial grounds, I have a general idea of the boundary, but i'm not positive.

Any advise?

Stay clear of the burial grounds

Michigan has stiff penalties for removing any antiquity relic or artifact from a known or undiscovered Indian Burial site .

bad bad karma if ya dig there or near it .... I sure wouldn't... sides, its kinda like, how'd you like somone digging by your great grannies gravesite? ya would be a lil bit upset rite... graveyards are off limits..
