Indian Coinage

Is anybody here knowledgeable regarding Indian coins? I think I read online that there some silver rupee coins there at one point. Any interesting information regarding their silver coins, and non silver coins is appreciated. Thanks.

Basically pre-1946 are silver.

Some American Indian tribes make silver rounds too.
