Indian effigy that i have no clue on? Any leads as to what effigy it may be

I have several indian artifacts , and am pretty keen on all i have , but this one came from a creek next to a site. And i know it is a effigy of something but it has me really puzzled , was needing help to help identify it if possible thanks.

Looks like a snake to me. Snakes were very common effigies from the Middle Woodland through the Mississippian cultures in North America.
