Never heard about them or seen one before. Your buckle has the design on the side of the small buckle, which leaves even less space for good details (maybe the reason it looks more like feathers on a Indian chief than a kings crown).

I only have a couple of broken examples, seen quite a few, but I prefer items like this over the Roman stuff. Whats not to love about the crudeness of the piece, has its own beauty & workmanship which varies on everyone you see :icon_thumright:

Here's some pics from reports the museum did for me. The other buckle with the animal head came from the same site, and probably the same workshop.
