Hi all found this tomahawk,hammer or tool of some kind today. Pretty stoked and it was the only good find of the day. Any info would be great.

Could be a 4/4 maul. Hard to see the grooved area. The pictures are bright. If you could get better more clearer pictures of that area it would help in determining. Check the ends for impact pecking.......

Here in Oregon rocks like that were used for fishing net weights. At least in the Klamath Lake/marsh area. I've seem them identified as such in a museum in Klamath Falls. That said, we all know how well museums are able to identify their displays.

We definitely need to see some better and clearer pictures of it. It looks kind of small so I doubt it was a Maul. It may just be a natural Concretion. Can't tell from your pics.
