Indians, Silver, A Deer's Tooth. What Else Is Next.

Hi Everyone, Been busy and haven't been on alot lately. Been on everyday seeing some nice finds you all made.

Most of the stuff that I found was in a old park I really like to hunt. When things get slow I hit them while I'm looking for stuff inbetween.

I went yesterday to the park with my son for about 2 hrs and we got one indian, one buffalo one nice flat button and a nice 1900 barber dime.

I also picked up what I think is a deers tooth washed up on a path. Pretty sick but I'll take it I guess.

Went out wendsday to a old cabin site. I have been testing this area on a few occasions. Had no luck the first two trips but one wheat. Didn't hunt it in the right conditions though.

The site is virtually clean though. Maybe some one beat me too it. It can't be seen from the road. Only thing is it is a hunters spot and maybe some one recently just found it.

I hunted it hard slow and dug at the deepest signals. There are three different chimneys here. All solid stone with old mortar around them. They look pre 1850 easy. I got lucky though and hit a miss at 6 inches I got a 1873 Indian.

I did find a huge shell. It says R A on the bottom with a # 42 on it. Is this a WW2 shell guys. It's size is about 6 inches long and a inch thick.

I also got a home made silver ring with the name Marry Ann carved into it. I think I also found a large civil war bullett a .58 or something like that. Not real sure. But it looks to be carved out.

I can see the last line of the bullett. Small little hole in it for some reason. But it looks just like the bottom of a bullett also. It might be a carved bullett. The area and structure date right to the civil war era.

Thanks for looking,

HH Jeremy

JerDFX,

Nice barber dime and indian heads. Also a pleasure to read your posts and see your finds.

Also was cool to see your W&ET article.

I hope to do some hunting in PA this weekend.

Definitely some nice finds. And if you can only find one coin at a site at least it's a good one.

JerDfx, cool finds. What are those tokens? They look like something from a bowling alley. The deer tooth almost looks like it could be human.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm glad you liked the story BJ, Thanks man.

Yeah Mirage, I was happy to get atleast a good date indian. I have found alot of indians. And the ratio for the 1870's is easy 15 to 1 for me atleast. I have the 1873 3 or 4 of them. It's always nice to get a 70's.

The shell is very large. I figured millitary round. It was shot too at some point. Thanks for the info Jim.

The tokens Big, Are for some bowling alley. Your right. The tooth looks really old. At first I thought it was a horses tooth. Pretty crazy. I'll put up a better pic if you guys really want.

Thanks again,

Jeremy

Nice finds and site Jer! I have a 14K ring with a deer tooth mounted in it, a hunters ring. Nice sites you have, I really like those old homesteads! HH, Mike

I see now that it is too big for a human tooth. Maybe deer or horse. I find a lot of jawbones in the woods with molars, but I never noticed the front bottom teeth. I have a lot of boar tusks.

Mike, I'd like to see a pic of that ring. I never heard of that.

I find ivory like this in the S. Fla. swamps. Often just teeth in the bottoms of dried out gator holes.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. Yes Capt, The bullets are just like the one's you have. Pretty deadly bullett. But mine is R A instead. But the 42 is in the same location.
