Hey guys
I am sure if your a new beach hunter you have sseen guys walkin around with the nice long handled scoops, and im sure you've seen them on the web selling at $100 or more too. I asked myself...Do I really want to spend $100 + dollars for a metal rod and scoop...Hell No!
So I went ahead and bought one of the cheaper ones that is about 2 feet long but can be used for the beach too.(under $50)
Then i decided to make my own long handle!! It was very easy. All I did was buy a long handle($10) that is used for rakes and shovels at the Home depot, and attatched it to the scoop!!
Blammmo!!!! Now after using cord ties to attatch, I have a sturdy and cheap scoop that works just well at the beach..It also saves your back!
Total spent: $50= $40 (Scoop) + Handle($10).
****Update****
Recently tested scoop at the beach and it works!!! Just need to add a kick plate to the back for a level surface.
if you are short on the funds, this may be good for you too!
