So I know this find was not in the ground and found with a detector but I figured I would share it. I went to the Good Will store and found an old book. The book is called Tune In For Elizabeth written by Mary Margaret McBride, copywright is 1945 and was signed by Mary Margaret on June 11 1947, the book also had an envelope in it that contained two ticket stubs for the Newark Museum dated June 11th 1947 to see Mary Margaret which is where the book was signed. The envelope was post marked dated 1947 with a 3 cent stamp and on the back of the envelope it's stamped also, the stamp on the back reads Mary Margaret McBride station WNBC 30 Rockefeller Plaza New York , New York. I don't have pics right now because my computer was re formated and does not have the software for my camera right now. Need to find the disk to download the program. I only paid $1.50 for the book. All in all I think it's a pretty cool find and what a part of history to come by. Thanks for looking hopefully I'll be able to load pics later for anyone who's interested.
