Can anyone tell me what this might be? its made of copper maybe? definitely non ferrous. Found in area where ive got early 1800s coins

thats what i said when i dug it, but i haven't pulled any modern junk from this spot, only 1800s stuff. its also been mangled in the middle. and the "bottle opener" part at the top is too small and round
