Internet Connection Problems today ?

anyone else having internet Connection Problems this morning.

About midnight (cst) i lost connection for upwards of 45 minutes, still having trouble
getting through to sites i visit regularly ( connection "hangs" ).

trace route shows a bottle-neck in Chicago.

AT@T/SBC DSL in Wis.

Sunspots screwing up things again...

twice this morning I got the Windows Error Page.

First time while running a diagnostic which took forever
It finally came up Connection restored.

Then went again 5 minutes later.

Unplugged modum without shutting down
plugged in and all lights lit.

still no service.

then cleaned cache, shut down computer & rebooted modum
and everything worked after

but was unsure if I fixed it or internet problems.

While Talking Internet
just found out Comcast is raising prices again.

About $9.00 around the Board.

I have Performance Downstream Speed up to 6 Mbps/ Upstream speed up to 1 Mbps

it takes from 3 seconds to 30 seconds to switch pages

if I switch to Economy Downstream Speed up to 768 Kbps/Upstream speed up to 384 Kbps

will I regret it ?

You`ll regret it if you do a lot of up/down loading or share a connection.

My DSL is $20 month, 1.5 up (that's my limit due to range). I play FPS games on a regular
basis and this connection is all but out-dated, if my wife is on the laptop my connection tanks
as far as FPS games/ downloading is concerned. (she ever so kindly explains, "if its to slow you
can always get out and push", god i love her )

If your not using much bandwidth or don't mind waiting just a bit longer for up/down loads or
watching news vids etc, make the change.
