Yep... mint error: off-center strike. Nice find! Do a Google or eBay search on "off-center cent" and you should get some good hits.

That is such a serious off-center strike. It would easily be worth more than one just slightly off-center.

Thank you. My husband listens to his change at work to find silver. Silver and old coins are all he really looks for. I think the whole family has now started a life long hobby. Our 7 year old loves it.

very, very nice.....also, super nice about getting into the hobby, especially with your 7 year-old. I started collecting coins when I was 6 because the lady at our local supermarket used to save all of her Wheat pennies for me and I have been hooked ever since.

Also, if your husband doesn't already know, a lot of us here also go to the bank and ask for rolls of half dollars and we are routinely receiving silver halves in our rolls. Check out the Coin Roll Hunting link on this site, lots of pictures.
