Is it Native American?

[V1deoguy]

Hello, recently my son and I were kayaking along the Ausable river in the Adirondack mountains and found this rock along the shore line. My thought is it’s a fire starting stone, thought?,

It is a modern replica you can buy them on Ebay!

<I am KIDDING! Neat find looks like the top stone for using the bow-drill, either for fire-making or drilling. My money would go on this being Amerindian.>

I'll take that bet.

I'll take that bet.

How are you going to prove this is NOT Amerindian manufacture?

Odds someone will fantasize and romanticize these as Indian made ... 80%.
Odds it is a natural occurring rock ... 1,000,000 to 1.

These have been discussed on tnet ad nauseam:

How big is it? Does it fit in the palm of your hand or does it take a wheelbarrow to carry it?

Cool find stuff like that is hard to confirm Mother Nature does some fscinating things to rocks. Good to get opinions though.
