No expert, and I doubt anyone can pos. identify from just a picture. So many minerals, so few colors, many minerals come in many colors, so many close in SG.
Could be.
You didn't mention streak
Streak test = white
terminated crystals = RARE, yours is terminated ?
You will probably need to take it to a local jeweler, university, etc for a pos. ID

IN any case cool find, I'd take a nice green crystal like that.

It looks like Kryptonite to me. Cool crystal. It's morphology doesn't look like any beryl crystal I've seen before.

Nice crystal, that hardness, you'll have to a jewelry who knows his stuff look at it. If you're in Yemen it was probably imported, or manufactured.

Thank you all for your advices and comments

No place nearby to test. But I like to confirm it is not fake but I am not sure if it is beryl or another unexpensive stone.

I wonder if there is a test or signs can be done to figure out what is it?
For your info the above pictures taken on sun light for that reason it is bright

We don't have MD nearby

My friend find it in Shabwah Government

Sorry for this question but why to use MD with such stone, while it is not metal?

A little further west then, I had asked where it was found because my friend has brought back such stones before.

I asked if you hunt with a metal detector because my friend goes down to Yemen to hunt for gold with his MD. He does pretty good, normally brings back a few thousand grams after he pays the local government to let him through the airport.

But correct, you sure would not find that stone with a metal detector.
