is solder a good sign ?

Got a stud basket earring. Unmarked or worn off
Silver color hoping white gold. Under magnify
U can see a blob of gold color solder attaching
Post to back of mount .I thought showing hand make
Brazing.a good sign ?

I have no idea, but I think solder of a different color than the base metal is not a good sign.
