I was chatting with a buddy about the "new" feature on the Manticore that I believe is called the "2D display". My buddy said that was essentially the same as something called Target Trace on the CTX, and then he added that it was just a gimmick. So, my question is... is it? Or do you find it useful?

I use it all the time. I got this scratchy reading and Target Trace showed me 2 targets. Rust and silver. So I dug it. The canned ham key came out around 6 inches and the barber was down another 3 inches. The place I found it at has been has been hammered hard ever since metal detectors have came out.

Target Trace is a very good feature, I used it on both my ETrac and CTX3030.
 

I would like to know how to get a target trace on my Etrac?
Can you let us know?

No, my apologies, that is my mistake, ETrac didn't have TT, it has been so long since I sold mine and got the 3030 I just forgot. I loved the feature on the 3030 use it all the time and was disappointed it wasn't on the Equinox.
