found this the other day, not very exciting but im failing to find out what to call this style of nut, anybody know if there is a name for these?
 

how big is it ?

dont have it on hand but pretty standard size for your average nut 1/4 - 1/2 inch

Due to the fact that it's six sided, as opposed to a four sided nut, means that it's relatively modern.
It maybe an early version of a 'lock-nut'. :icon_scratch:

It’s a broken split nut ground bond connector, IMHO.

good enough for me, Im trying to make a catalogue of my finds even the boring ones so I can piece together the history of the land I hunt, I will have more objects in the near future that may be fairly boring but im looking for ideas of what to call them.
