hmmm.. i wonder if this bowl thing is from china or from japan because this was dug here in the philippines because chinese long ago has also occupied philippines for trading and also the during japan invasion.

And this bottle was also dug up but a different location. It is labeled "Clifford TANSAN Wilkinson" is this still sold out in the U.S.

I have seen other Japanese WWII items with that flower on them chrysanthemum was an imperial symbol I think. It looks like your bottle is older than WWII era though.

Your bowl or plate looks like earthenware. I don't know anything about it, sorry.

Very interesting! As implied in the article Tansan is sort of old slang Japanese. "Tansansui" means "carbonated water" and "Tansan iri" is an adjective specifying "carbonated".

Pretty cool.
