Dug this the other day its copper 26 mm. and yes I hit it ! Can't make out the other side yet it's the bad side , I'll post it later if it cleans up well . I'm thinking it may be a commemorative ?? ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1469573198.463104.webp Looks like a 3 mast ship .
 
Looks like a trade token....Ireland or Great Britain....wait for the pros...they will lock it down....

first thought.....It looks like maybe a hard times token?....whats on the back?

HT-22......I can't get the link to work for some reason....Try looking up HT-22 hard times token.....There are others but that might give you possible direction to look....

It might be broken off a neckless or a watchfob cause theres a missing piece on top ... I can't wait to see the back . Woodstock

Hi; Simple Question. Where are you from ?? It looks like a Rhode Island Cent. we can hardly wait to see BOTH sides of it after you clean it GENTLY. Use Dawn Dish Detergent and warm water. Let it soak over night. Then use a wooden toothpick to GENTLY "push" the loose dirt off. It may take several soakings but the results will be very well worth it ok. You will be amazed ok.
