Looks like there was some grease in the die- fairly common. Cool to find none the less though.
 

Not a misstrike - that is the intended design of the Wyoming quarter. Just like on their license plates, the cowboy on the bucking bronco is a silhouette.

I'm not sure what aspect of the coin he was talking about but I'm talking about the area around the cowboy.. there was clearly some grease in the die... not enough to make a huge difference but it's there none the less.

Actually, now that I look again and to be more specific, above and in front of the horses head, under it's belly, and behind and on the cowboy are the grease areas.
 

Yep, it's called a strike through. It's when the die strikes the coin through something, like a hair, or grease. Not worth much I don't think, but you never know.
 

Either way not worth a lot but now that I look at it again it could also be a worn die..... ?
