Is this a Spanish coin?

**I posted this in “what is it” but I thought I would move it over here for more exposure.**

I found this at a old homestead. It reminds me of a hammered Spanish coin even though it is only half, it looks like something went through it, maybe a bullet? It is super thin. Any ideas?

If it is a Spanish coin it most likely would have been in circulation until 1820 or a little later since that is the age of the site, the site did have Spanish contact.



The last picture is what it reminds me of.

Here are something’s I noticed on the coin, in red it looks like an 8, and in green I just noticed some other details, let me know if you see them or if it is just wishful thinking. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1520918882.218539.webp
 

I opened it in Photoshop and tried all kinds of lighting and contrast settings and no luck finding anything. Sorry. :dontknow:

Does look like a a piece of a cob.
 

My friend what you found is 8 maravedis aprox 1652

rather than speculate, why wouldn't you test it for silver and go from there
