Is this a Spanish coin?

**I posted this in “what is it” but I thought I would move it over here for more exposure.**

I found this at a old homestead. It reminds me of a hammered Spanish coin even though it is only half, it looks like something went through it, maybe a bullet? It is super thin. Any ideas?

If it is a Spanish coin it most likely would have been in circulation until 1820 or a little later since that is the age of the site, the site did have Spanish contact.



The last picture is what it reminds me of.

Here are something’s I noticed on the coin, in red it looks like an 8, and in green I just noticed some other details, let me know if you see them or if it is just wishful thinking.

rather than speculate, why wouldn't you test it for silver and go from there
