Is this an agate?

if so or even if not should I cut it in half? Found in north central WI. It is around the size of a golf ball...I should start adding something to images to show scale.. Thx

Definitely Agate! The last picture says it all with distinct "fortification" banding.

Like the last poster said - although examples exist that are much clearer - vibrant - and conspicuous.
