I cant tell country of origin from info or pic, can you measure the bore? It looks like a "parlor" gun. Very small caliber round that was projected using a percussion cap.

The notch in the breach latch and the hammer looks like it would be for a rim fire cartridge. Cant help much more than that, good luck someone here will get it.

I'm dying to find out more about it. Please take it to a firearms dealer and have him ID it and let us know. That's one cool little vintage miniature pistol.

I was "told" it may be a SUICIDE PISTOL from WWII. Did they even make such things? Being such a small caliber I don't think it would be quick, or painless............ Just throwin' this out there, as it is part of the story I've heard.

I was only 8 when my grandfather died, and he liked to tell "stories", so I'm not sure if he was pulling my leg......

Just GOOGLED "siucide pistol" and this came up........

The gun is no longer on the auction site though. Maybe it is such a pistol....
