Detector(s) used
ace250 with sniper coil
Took a prevew look thru our local auction this morning , they have a micronta Discovery 2 MD , looks in nice cond ,no scuffing on the coil, seems to work ok comes complete with the box . Not sure how old it is , . be nice to have a second machine . Does any one know much about these, are they any good . I may bid if it does not go to high ,
question ?? how high should i go . thanks Dave ???

Two cents is as high as I would go. You could call this a metal detector just like you could call a magnet a metal detector. You get what you pay for as regards to quality.

"Time is the only thing you never get back, why waste it swinging a detector that isn't up to the task."

What's sad is that I've seen people buy these junk machines for $100 and more at public auctions. Always cracks me up!

That's just a little cheapy Bounty Hunter rebranded for Radio Shack. I'm pretty
sure that was the one that I bought at the beach several years ago that got me
into the hobby. I paid $40 for mine without a box. Found like $15 in clad and
a silver necklace the first day I had it. It's better than a toy. If it's all you can say
grace over right now, or you just wanted to piddle at detecting, go for it. I
wouldn't go more than $10 or $15 bucks, $20 tops on it.

Give me the auctioneers name or give me some kind of postal code near
where the auction is. I'm a licensed auctioneer, I'll check it out for you.

Micronta is a Radio Shack brand. Take it from there.
