Nice looking button Bear Creek from a fellow Georgian. My wife and I are from Covington, Georgia in Newton County. We live close to Bear Creek here in Newton County.
 

you are in a good area for civil war relics. draw a line on the map from Chattanooga to Atlanta and you will follow sherman's route. About the same route that I-75 now occupies. The only rub is getting permissions for areas near battle fields.
