Forgive me for being such a novice. But is this an ore of precious metal? It glistens like crazy, but hard to show in a picture. Some of it looks like gold, other parts like silver or platinum. It was one huge rock, made up of thin layers of different colors. Some black, some white, some silver, and some gold. With my small amount of knowledge and research, i think it may be encrusted gold inside of a rock. The rock isn’t extremely hard. I can almost break it apart with my hands, but I’d have to give it all my might. I hit it with a hammer about 20 times and this is what was left. Any help would be much appreciated. This rock was found up by dinky creek, a hop skip and a jump from Yosemite in California. Thank you for your time.
