It feels like a rock but looks like wood....?

Maybe this should be under the "rock" forum....I'll see what you guys think first....feels like rock, it's solid even though looks like it's falling apart. What do you all think?

Probably petrified wood

Here's a few pieces.. I have red wood palm.. And some local Florida piece I'm not sure of the type.
I have some nice artifacts made from agatized wood.

Do you really think it could be some "rock wood" Gator Boy? That would be so cool, won't get my hopes up till we can know for sure though. Wow, did you find those you have...so pretty & nice! How can I know if mine is really petrified wood or not...any test or something? Thanks for posting the pictures...

One quick thing you could do is a search on your computer using the terms petrified wood and the area you live in the same search.
It looks like a rough chunk of petrified wood to me.. Don't want to send you on a wild goose chase or anything but that's sure what it looks like to me.
A couple of those in my hand I found a few were given as gifts
