Wow CK...wild colors in these pics, nice! The Monarchs are the prominent ones around The Great Lakes here, then head your way (migrate south for the winter/just like alot of our birds! :)

Nice photographs! Thanks for sharing...

As always: Great pictures; almost like you took professional pictures from a magazine and posted them! Really great how you managed to get the brilliance and the vibrant colors! We didn't see a lot of swallowtails in central Texas. There were quite a few; but just never seemed to be more than one or two around. Now the Monarchs were a different story! When they arrived, there were some plants/trees that attracted them. We have an Arizona Ash tree in the front yard that sometime would be so covered that you could hardly see any of the trunk.

That's wonderful and such brilliant colors. Was this all in your flower garden?

Wow, the colours! Butterflies on acid! We have a few black swallowtails here now but some years I don't see any.

Really TJE?....I'll be waiting for the "northern" Monarchs to show up then. We do get some hatching here also, can I say "hatching" sounds weird!?

Thanks ronwoodcraft, packerbacker (it's a Nikon Coolpix), vpnavy and PamDF. :)

texasred....promise I didn't get them out of a mag. :laughing7:...and WOW Monarchs that covered a tree trunk, that's a lot! I've seen pictures like that taken in Mexico before.

Yes tamrock, all in the flower garden & I've got a lot more...lol

Meadow....don't know why but we have more Tigers (5) than the Black ones & the Black ones are more skittish. The Tigers almost land on you, very friendly.

Isn't Gods' creations beautiful? Awesome pictures!

Yes old digger....the hand of the Creator is truly awesome!

FSCN2044.webp DSCN1923.webp...wanted to add these to the post, finally got the two together!
