There were many, many times when I was pulling up a steep grade that
people behind me would get pissed, especially on a 2-lane road.

When in a semi and pulling a long, steep grade, you keep dropping gears until
you find the one that can hold your RPM/speed, and that's the gear you go
up the hill in. You could be doing 25 or 35, but either way, that's all you are
going to get...lose 1 mph and you're not going to get it back, so losing speed
to pull off so someone in a 4-wheeler can pass just ain't gonna happen. Most
2-lane roads with hills have a dedicated passing lane that comes up every
couple of miles.
