PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- A Philadelphia-area school district will pay $610,000 to settle two lawsuits over secret photos taken on school-issued laptops.

The Lower Merion School District admits it captured thousands of webcam photographs and screen shots from student laptops in a misguided effort to locate missing computers.

Why lawyers like to file suits
it Sure ain't because they want to help their Clients.

District officials voted Monday to pay Robbins $175,000, a second student $10,000 and their lawyer, Mark Haltzman, $425,000. The district's insurer will pay $1.2 million toward legal and settlement costs.

:icon_scratch: by the settlements,
You'd think the Lawyers Privacy was Violated :icon_scratch:

well I Don't know what that would be
since this type of Thievery by lawyers
has been going on ever since they were given the right to advertise they are Ambulance Chasing on TV.

Have an accident ? We'll get you what you deserve
(& Make 10 times as much for ourselves doing it  )

Yeah, one of many problems...sucks to have a litigious-happy populace and people willing to suck the coffers dry for the almighty dollar.

Ever see a poor lawyer or a poor undertaker ? What did their clients have left once they got theirs ? :tongue3:
