Okay... not night.... but it was most certainly dark.... and blowing like mad. However, I figured that the weather was supposed to get worse so an hour detecting at the old Edgewood townsite would be good.
I wound up spending about two hours in the freezing cold and 35 MPH wind... Once I found the 'magic spot', I did as much time as i could.
The 1854 seated liberty dime is actually a love token.. it has the name AGGIE very nicely engraved on the flip side..... my first love token ever.
The silver quarter, the little nickel and the other pennies [not pictured] all came from an area about the size of the average kitchen table...... but it was hard digging through many rusted nails, bed springs, cast iron etc.
I have not ever seen a 'British Red Cross Society' pin before.
A good day that will be followed by a better day tomorrow, I hope Fair winds
Micheal
