WTG! looks like a thin coin, about US Quarter size? Anyway, the old silver is always nice to find, I only have one French coin, that one a copper, and you know my son has that 1595 Douzain, but I guess the French coins did not make it this far south in any great amounts.

Again, congrats on getting a nice piece of silver......

Yes about a quarter and size and all billon coins are thin. They're usually very poor when dug so being able to read it is a bonus.

I do remember Dan finding that. Interesting it would make it there as we don't dig many even at early French sites.

Nice coin Iron Patch. I hope I can add an old silver to my collection next year. I'm about done for this year, unless we get a few indian summer days scattered in to the weather forcast around here.

No chance of that here, the Indians just aren't nice.

Might get out a couple more times though.

... I usually get at least one oldie every year. No Spanish in 2007 which kinda sucks but what can you do.

See you just can't find anything good can you? ;) :D ;D ;D :D ;D

Where did you say you lived again? I need to come visit in the spring so you can teach me how to use my machine.

That is an awesome find! Can we see a picture of the back? I would love to see if it's in the same shape.

Congrats on an amazing find! I've found one old Spanish silver in miserable shape, and that thrilled me nonetheless, so I can only imagine the jig you did!

Cheers and HH,
Bman
