All of these items were high dingers. I believe I have a shot gun head stamp, melted lead, a toe tap and a button. I have no clue on the age of any of these items! image.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webp

That shotgun head stamp was once a paper cartridge so dates anywhere from about 1970 on back. From size either 12 or 16 guage, not enough detail for other identifying details. Can't help on button but others on here are sharp about that sort of thing. Are you sure about that being lead object, is it heavy for size. If not it may be a hot rock, highly mineralized.

See your new to the forum and possibly detecting so welcome to the forum from Missouri. Happy hunting.

Any clue on the date of the heel tap or the button?

Those heeltaps I'm not real familiar with. I know they had them in the 1800s already, also know it doesn't look like the ones I wore in the 1960s.

The button I couldn't say about either. I've found a few steel 4 hole buttons and never given them much thought, just tossed them in my miscellaneous finds box.

Is that “soy” beans or dry eatable beans like pintos or navys?
The little piece of leather looks like a “Hondo” from a cowboys lariat.
If you goog that you will get far better explanation.
