It's 14K and Sterling Silver Jewelry...What is This?

I dug this 3 inch long piece of jewelry in a soccer field today. It has a fish head on one end and a tail on the other. Head and tail are silver, center is 14K. What is this? Earring? Nose ring?

Looks fushy to me that looks like it would pull the nose of thier face I say hair clip

Doesn't look gold and silver other than the colors...
But what do I know, I don't have it in my hand.
I don't see how it would clip into the hair, unless a rod (chopstick) went through the loops.
And they are on the bottom making it top heavy.
So after all of that... I would say it's a piece of art...

String a piece of monofil through the hole in front of the eye and see how it hangs. Cinch ring broke!

The head and tail may be silver, but based on the images provided, I would guess the “gold” is plated brass or plated copper.

I believe it's from the mid 50s to mid 60s and made by a small studio artist jeweler. Most were made out of a gold filled wire and having one where the wire was arranged into your name was very popular and I've seen many as I hunt the 2nd hand market for things of interest a lot. To me it looks like gold filled wire and pewter, but that's what I see in just a picture, so I can't really say for sure.
