I just sold some at $39.50 yesterday. My next sell point is $44.50!

HH,

$ilver$urfer :hello:

>:( >:( >:(

Not good.. means more competition ... less finds.. moving us closer to the end of CRHing.

I'd rather have it stay in the $30 range.. so we keep the machine moving.. now it's bad news in my eyes.

I would've felt worse if I had sold because fewer finds in the future means less to make up for what was sold.

no sale...were just getting warmed up!!! $100 silver is coming

Man I remember when I used to grumble when I had to pay too much more than 10X face for junk silver and more than $130 - $150 for a 10 oz bar...those days are gone for now!

I sold a lot off at the last dip to about $27/oz. Amazing how much silver has gone up since then. I still made some money, but it stings just a little bit in hindsight. Of course, I sold most of my stash because I thought the price was going to fall a bit.

actually too soon for me , not only has competition tripled but also my buy prices.

Why on earth would i sell for any reason other then to buy gold , guns or stockpiling food. Dont get me wrong i love the hobby aspect of hunting but the only reason i got into this hobby is because i listened to those who called the crisis and not those that flat out lied.

SELLING ??? Hell I'm buying. The only thing I'm selling is anything under 90% and I have to buy that cheap enough to make a profit.

Hooray! $40 silver! Now can I get $50? Going once, going twice...

I won't be selling, ever. But that's because I am collecting silver for my children. The goal is to hand them a giant treasure chest full of gold, silver, and copper. After I kick the bucket they can do whatever they want with it. Which with my luck will probably mean taking it to the bank and cashing it in at face value. :P

The one thing that I'm excited for with rising silver prices is the fact that premiums are going down fast on older coins. You can buy common date barbers in almost fine condition for melt, common date standing liberties go for melt. And even some common seated liberty coins have only tiny premiums compared to melt.

Last time I checked too, premiums for US gold coins were pretty low too, especially for double eagles and eagles.

Sfbay people who turned in their silver halves for .50 last year when they were only worth a couple bucks havent gotten any wiser between then and now. In fact im willing to bet the only increase in competition is from former Crhers who decided the finds werent worth the time and gas. Now maybe some of them get back into it seeing $5 a coin or so. No way oblivious people who had silver halves are suddenly educated by doing the same thing they have been doing.

In my area Atlanta is covered up with Crhers. I did some boxes 2 weeks ago for the first time this whole year. 41 x 40% , 9x 90%, 3 bens, 1 x 1970s, 1 x 2003 90% proof. That is better than my last years average by far so clearly us dumb southerners havent gotten the message yet.

Use a lil possitive attitude and go get your silver.

I can only judge from my results here. I get skunk boxes half the time. I've been in this hobby for a long time.. trust me. I've been doing it since 2001. Back then, I only get skunk boxes about one out of four times. I definitely see the differences. I have Excel and record the numbers every month. Sure, every once in a while, one gets a decent or good box but the skunks have definitely increased. Although the amount of silver around is different in different parts of the country. From reading about the dream boxes and consistant results from searchers in the northeast, they seem to be in the best area for this.

Also we get a ton of Newbie CRHers of late.. people who read this board and decide to try it for the first time. This was different than when silver was $18/oz. When I go to the bank and ask for halves, they tell me they get a bunch of people asking for them. Eventually this all adds up. I'm just speaking the truth.. just as jrf30 mentioned in his thread. If prices continue, more people will learn about it and start doing it.

So now that silver has broken the mystical $40 mark, how many of you guys are going to start selling? Or are you going to hold on to see if this trend continues?

As for myself, I don't see myself selling silver except if I can find gold for less than spot then selling some silver to buy some gold.

Some guys find each week in boxes more than I have saved up total...but I am still holding. $50 silver will be here before you know it...and I'm wondering if $100 isn't too far off.

$40.94 with only twenty minutes to go. Will it make $41.00 for the weekend? :hello2:

Nope $40.93 close.

Selling my SLV stock on Monday morning, along with my USO and CU. Commodities are overdue for a pullback...i'm guessing 5-15%. Plan on buying back in then.

If you have enough in reserve I would sell a little in levels ($35, $40 $45). How do you resist 1000+% profit???? I already got ALL the money I ever spent on silver coins back from CRH silver!!! From this point on it is all icing on the cake!!!  You never know when the next huge drop will come so don't chase a Tornado.

You could be right, but the last huge drop was 31 years ago, and under different circumstance.
