It's here!

A nice guy from UPS came to my door with a brand new DFX this afternoon. As luck would have it old man winter left about an inch of snow last night that is however, already starting to melt. Look forward to posting finds in the future and contributing to this great group.

Don't let all the controls intimidate you. The DFX has a learning curve. Just use the pre-programmed programs until you learn what it is telling you. It is an incredible machine but definitely takes time to learn. I have had mine about 6 months now and the finds just keep on coming! You will love it and it goes deeeep! Good luck and show us some of those finds!

Thanks for the input Mr Mark. I plan on sticking to the preprogrammed stuff for awhile just to get to know the machine. As I mentioned I bought Jeff Fosters book and it's great until about page 40 where everything just starts flying over my head. Hopefully this weather will break soon and I can get some time with my new detector.

Congrats on your new DFX! I've had mine for a little over a year and love it. There are so many features you can go into overload but reading the books on the detector and watching the video over and over again help considerably. Jim Cal
