It's That Time Again - Vidalia Onion Pie

Just got a shipment of freshly picked Vidalia Onions and just had to make me a pie, plus one for work, and one for the Ladies in the Shrine Office. Our Shrine Temple sells 10 pound bags for $10 as a fund raiser.

Do you just eat them cold? or do you put cheese or something on them?

They already have Parmesian cheese on top. I've eaten it both warmed and cold...depends on your tastes...but I prefer it warm....just a short time in the microwave.

Here's a tip...haven't tried it yet but plan to soon. Use the sour cream mixture and instead of onions, try other veggies: spinach(wilted), spinach and onions, crookneck squash, asparagus, etc. I plan to use the exact same recipe except for the vegetable.

How you gonna make pies and move too? :icon_scratch:

Gypsy Wench.....I'll be more than happy to send you a 10 pound bag of fresh Vidalia onions for $10 plus the feed for the horse that'll deliver it via Pony Express. I would offer to have Bo bring it but you'r liable to load him up with furniture, etc. :icon_thumright:
