Here is how I do lightening pics with a digital. My camera stores pics as jpeg. These are compressed in the camera. When they are all black, they REALLY compress. The camera will hold hundreds of pics. I just point in the general direction and hold down the shutter release. The camera takes a pic every 3 secs. When it fills up (or my finger gets tired) I down load the pics to the PC. Launch windows explorer and look for a file that is larger. All the black pics are the same size. When I see one that is larger, I know its got something in it. I usually have to lighten them to see any lightening. I usually don't get anythng, but I keep trying.
