Back at the mossy shoe mansion homesite, listed on 1876 PA survey. The site may be older than I thought. Up to today earliest id'able items were 1890 coins, today I found my first flat button. I believe it is an 1829 Andrew Jackson Victory flat button. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487547340.238742.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487546822.273846.webp
Anyone have any background on this?
Another interesting mystery button a few feet away.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487546887.122891.webp
I think this is the body of an old lighter, if you zoom in you can see floral pattern slightly gilded.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487547041.794161.webp
Here is a pic of today's finds.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487547097.176359.webp
Three wheats oldest 1917. Silver plated fork and I think a cheap gold plated men's ring?
And my favorite item is the tiny blue bottle because my daughter picked this off the ground.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487547236.271082.webp
And here is a pic of a creative use for 3 1941 PA license plates to fix a hole in a shack.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487547320.242492.webp

Good luck out there!

Nice finds pa-dirt_nc-sand!

Just a guess on the button with the intertwined initials: If I'm seeing the letters right they're GDP (in questionable order), and then Co., which Could be Grand Detour Plow Co.

Good going, nice digs, congratulations!

Cool finds! Take the plates, they have a little bit of monetary value.

The license plates are really cool, but man, hammered into the floor to keep coal from falling through holes/cracks feels so period appropriate. The shack is amazingly intact, but looks like it will last only a another season before a big wind storm takes it down. I wish I could dismantle and relocate to one of our local parks and save this piece of history.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1487604442.679286.webp
