James 2nd half penny (1685-1689)

[Scrappy]

It took a week to identify since it was wicked toasted, but the dates, size, and weight match. Found it next to a farm house dating 1727 and rumored to be even older. It showed up as a copper penny on my VDI.

Yes, that does seem to match. Your coin just doesn't look like gunmoney in the picture when I added some light.

Thanks man, I'll grab that door What never gets mentioned are droughts. I was in about a 2 month drought before I found some good spots, and weeded out about 100 bad spots.

Yup they can't all be good. My research has put me on some great sites and it's also got me lots of exercise with very few finds to show as well. Got my eye on one I'm very excited about right now. Very very early site. We shall see
