January Prospecting Gold Country

Hello All,

Hopefully you are all having a great year with heavy pans and not all black sands. I was curious if anyone has done any prospecting in January... Yuba , Feather, Bear etc. Is it still doable other than being cold. I would imagine water levels are really low. Any benefits to winter prospecting.? I have prospected Bear , but I would love to find a forrest road that puts me in a less populated area to hunt on any river, any suggestions.
