Found these last weekend at Chibana Castle...They are Japanese Cash Kan'ei (Bronze)These coins would be from the 1600's to 1700's The Chinese coins that you find here are older back to 900's to 1500's or a little earlier if you are lucky, These are three of five coins found in the same area that day. Two were even stuck together when I dug them up, I love those days. I wish I had one of you guys over here to go out with. Hard to find someone to head out into the jungle with! It is really good over here coz the Japanese have no intrest in this kind of thing. Lots of virgin areas. Hope to hear from anyone or other people that find bronze type coins and artifacts.
PS: I used my Fisher CZ-3D for the fist time. It worked good and will keep trying it out. Bronze can be funny coz the coins are all a little different, between foil, nickle and pulltab. Just like gold rings. A depth meter is your best buddy here! Anyway, Thats all from Japan for now, Good Luck Everyone! Dave
